About Me
I am originally from Monza, Italy.
I have lived in Italy, the Netherlands and now I live near Zürich, Switzerland.
I have been involved in computer science and networking for a great part of the last 20 years. I have started an ISP in northern Italy in 2006, worked at the RIPE NCC as trainer and IPv6 Programme manager from 2013 until mid-2019, and worked at the Internet Society from mid-2019 until the end of 2023.
At present I am involved in a number of roles. I am:
- Part of the RIPE Programme Committee;
- Part of the Euro-IX Forum Programme Committee;
- Part of the SwiNOG board and Programme Committee;
- Part of the DKNOG Programme Committee;
- On the NOC of IXP.ge, the Georgian IXP;
- On the NOC of CHIX, an IXP in Zurich;
- Part of the staff of the Italian FreeBSD Users Group (GUFI);
- One of the maintainers of peering.exposed.
I enjoy praciting a range of hobbies, which include:
- Playing and watching football (what in US is called soccer);
- Running and biking;
- Remote Controlled Car Racing;
- Playing Warhammer - especially Warcry - and painting miniatures.
